Somewhere in the middle of all that blooming, two waxwings decided to stay a while.
The blossoms are heaped on thick — you could almost pick one off the branch — and the sky behind them was worked over and over until it settled into the exact blue of an afternoon with nowhere to be. The birds don’t seem to be going anywhere either. They’ve found a good branch. The company is pleasant. Spring is doing what spring does.
